Trail to Happiness

‘Happy Trails’ writer, Dale Evans penned the famed theme song for husband, Roy Rogers. The tune became as memorable as his fame as King of the cowboys. I grew up with Roy and Dale; the song still makes me emotional.

We all desire happiness and hope that we can find the trail to tranquility, our designated pathway. The trail is clearly marked.

… “and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: ‘This is the way. Walk in it (Isaiah 30:21 HCSB).”

Wandering from the well lighted trail leads to disaster. It’s easy to lose my sense of security when I encounter problems along the way.

The Lord is aware of my fears and frailty. He leads me back onto His path of purpose and peace.

“He renews my life;
He leads me along the right paths
for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3 HCSB).”

Trials may come my way; yet, He has made the way to triumph on the trail to happiness.
