Many people listen to music while doing their house cleaning.

On one occasion, my housework was inspirational. I listened to providential lyrics by Perry Como; ‘I May Never Pass This Way Again.’

That’s so true; none of us know what the future holds. The gist of the song…

Make every moment meaningful.

Do what we should for those around us; show kindness to those in need. I believe the lyrics writer may have been related to Paul.

Through service to Christ, Apostle Paul lived his life to the fullest.

With love for Christ, he served Him and others. ‘I May Never Pass This Way Again.’ The song lyrics brought the Old Testament Book of Esther to mind.

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this (Esther 4:14 NKJV)?”

Esther took Mordecai’s words to heart.

She prayed.

She fasted.

I may never pass this way again.

Esther couldn’t escape the truth. She intervened on behalf of her people.

Sacrificially, Esther risked her life for the sake of others.
