‘Come to worship!’

Yes, we can worship God anywhere because He is everywhere. We worship Him in our homes; in creation and on our sickbeds. Yet, we desire to return to our churches. Christians are missing times of public worship and fellowship. The Coronavirus is keeping us apart.

“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25 NKJV).”

Something is missing in our lives. We want to go back to our churches; to come together as the body of Christ.

Jesus set the example.

“So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read (Luke 4:16 NKJV).”

Following Jesus resurrection and ascension, His followers gathered together.

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers (Acts 2:42 NKJV).”

It was continuous; it was a priority.

“Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight (Acts 20:7 NKJV).”

Come to worship; soon we will heed the call.

“And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,’ says the Lord (Isaiah 66:22-23 NKJV).”
