Everybody likes a good story. Many are avid readers. Others listen to audio books and blogs; watch their favorite stories in movies and on television. Are you a history buff? Biographies are both informative and interesting. Have you read the Gospels?

They contain Jesus’ biography; that history is His story.

“Matthew said, ‘And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 1:16-18 KJV).”

The child Jesus grew.

Mark shared this truth. Jesus is the Christ.

“Whom do men say that I am?

And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ (Mark 8:27b-29 KJV).”

Luke (the physician) told the story of Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection and ascension. (Luke 23:32-24:50)

“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost (Luke 23:46 KJV).”

All biographies come to a close.

“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen (John 21:25 KJV).”

He lives; His story never ends!

"He is not here, but is risen (Luke 24:6a KJV)."
