Loves Me Tender, Loves Me True

At times I need tough love; the Holy Spirit brings me back in line through conviction.

I experience repentance and renewal.

My heart cries out to the Father. I seek Him; ‘Love Me Tender.’

Jesus loves me tender; He loves me true.

Jesus had tough love. He often rebuked His disciples for their lack of faith. I also feel that correction.

Yet, His tenderness is timeless.

Jesus had tender love for Jerusalem.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing (Matthew 23:37 NKJV)!”

Jesus is drawing me close. He wants to protect me.

I’m growing through God’s tough and tender love.

Jesus loves me tender; He loves me true!
