Rest Easy

I know there’s 24 hours in a day; that hasn’t changed. My routine hasn’t changed; I’m still getting up before daylight and going to bed around 8.

I’m confused. Why do I have more trouble getting things done?

Am I living in slow motion?

“Lord, make me to know my end,
And what is the measure of my days,
That I may know how frail I am.
Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths,
And my age is as nothing before You;
Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah (Psalm 39:4-5 NKJV).”

Time isn’t on my side.

The LORD is and He’s in control. I can rest easy.

“It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2b NKJV).”

I’ll just take one day at a time; God will take care of me.

“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day (2 Peter 3:8 NKJV).”
