Security of children
Found this on a church website:
Pre-school and under leave after the welcome and announcements. They are taken by the parents to the children's department (right outside the Worship Center doors). They must be 'signed into the department' then or if parents arrive early for church or your child/children attended Sunday School, you could sign them in then. For security purposes we make sure that each child attends and leaves with the correct parents or guardians.
Does the church have a good plan, or or they being too strict?

You can never be too strict when it comes to children's safety.

I do not believe that is too strict. However, I've seen churches who have great rules in place, but are lax on enforcing them. The rules only help keep kids safe if the rules are followed.

We sign in and sign out kids using barcoded bracelets.
The really difficult strict part is trying to keep two unrelated adults with kids at all times.
