Super Heroes

Are you familiar with Hebrew’s heroes of faith?

We find a lengthy list in the 11th chapter of Hebrews. The writer reintroduces us to Old Testament men and women of faith and fortitude. Take time to read the chapter. Let the lives of the faithful inspire and motivate you to deeper commitment. I’m taking my own challenge to heart.

What about today’s heroes?

1960’S TV hero ‘Batman,’ Adam West, passed away recently. He will be remembered. Crowds have flocked to movie theaters to view the release of ‘Wonder Woman.’ Though Batman and Wonder Woman are fictional characters, both have a very real following.

What about fully committed Christ followers?

They are the real super heroes. They rely on the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit as they resist hordes of evil forces.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-13 KJV).”

Who are your heroes?

Mine are pastors, evangelists and missionaries. They bravely stand their ground at the front lines…
