Olivia Rose is walking!

I’m Olivia’s great-grandmother; that gives me bragging rights. Wouldn’t you agree? Learning how to walk takes time, persistence and practice. It’s quite a balancing act. Olivia first mastered pulling herself up to a standing position; next she stood leaning against furniture. After gaining confidence, she took a few steps toward her mother and father.

Now, Olivia is walking.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (3 John 1:4 NKJV).”

God loves His children. He watches as we learn how to walk.

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7 NKJV).”

We walk in the light of His word and in the power of His Spirit.

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish (Galatians 5:16-17 NKJV).”

Walking in His Spirit enables us to walk in His love.

“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma (Ephesians 5:2 NKJV).”

Walking is great exercise; step out in faith…

“For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV)."
