Don't Miss It!

“People say you don't know what you've got until it's gone. Truth is, you knew what you had, you just never thought you'd lose it.” (elitedaily.com)

It’s gone. There’s no water.

My husband noticed water shooting up in a nearby field earlier today. He thinks that farmers accidentally drove over a main water line with their tractor. He told me that we’d probably have no water when we got home. He was right.

It’s gone. We miss it.

David was thirsty; really thirsty.

He had no water. He missed it.

“And David said with longing, ‘Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!’ So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the Lord. And he said, ‘Far be it from me, O Lord, that I should do this! Is this not the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?’ Therefore he would not drink it (2 Samuel 23:15-17 NKJV).”

Don’t miss it; Jesus offers living water!

“Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (John 7:37-39 NKJV)."
